Good Riddance!

  • To an unrewarding, frustrating, and stress filled job
  • A consistent bad attitude caused by said job
  • Steady, dull lower back pain from my injury last week
  • Not being able to work out because of said back pain
  • Poor eating choices

And since I have this entire week off before I start my next job, I can push the reset button on all of those bad things. Yesterday was my sleep-in, go to brunch with friends, afternoon drinks, pizza eating, Rock Band party, baseball watching reward day for all the the crap I’ve had to deal with over the past couple of months. I sincerely hope it helped me to “exorcise the demons” and move on. 

So with that being said, here’s what I am looking forward to this week:

  • Relaxing
  • Spending time with the lady
  • Bad Religion show on Tuesday night!!
  • Running (we’ll see how my back feels after a light run tomorrow)
  • HALLOWEEN!!! (still need to figure out a costume, d’oh!)
  • Running the NYRR race on Halloween morning (in costume, perhaps???)

The only thing I’m bummed about is taking another week off from cross-fit…just until I can be sure that my back has fully healed. Lower back injuries are a scary thing! I really don’t want to roll the “life long injury” dice by jumping back into training too quickly.
